Founded in 2007 after nearly a decade of study and periodic work in designing for the web; Sharpenedpixels is a small company located in central KY. We focus primarily on small and local businesses. Providing them with an attractive, interesting, and useful presence on the web while concentrating on making their site as accessible to as many potential customers as possible.
Philosophy

Accessibility
In recent years the term accessibility has begun to come to the fore in web design circles. Rightfully so, as making your site usable for as many people despite any physical or mental disabilities can not only benefit the user but the owner of a site as well. After all, the more people using your site the better. Right?
Web standards
The use of web standards goes hand in hand with the previous topic, accessibility, as well as the following topic, validation. Building your site on a web standards base will provide benefits in the short term and for the life of your site. Content and design updates are usually far more simple to implement when done so on a standards-based site. Accessbility concerns as well as validation efforts are generally much easier to address as well. In short, a standards-based methodology is a huge benefit to your site.
